ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL RISK FACTORS ON SATISFACTION WITH THE QUALITY OF DENTAL CARE

Abstract:
This work highlights the influence of biomedical factors on satisfaction with the quality of medical dental care to the population. In assessing the quality of medical care provided, there are many factors, some of which are: gender, age, frequency of visits to the dentist, reasons for visits to the dentist, diagnosis, availability of an appointment. Research subject. The subject of the study was the opinion of patients about satisfaction with the quality of dental care. Materials and methods. For this purpose, a survey was conducted and processing of the data obtained among patients at an outpatient appointment on the basis of the medical and sanitary unit of Kazan Federal University. As part of the study, 1,386 people aged 15 to 80 or older were interviewed. Purpose of the study. Study of population satisfaction with medical dental services depending on the influence of biomedical factors. Results. According to studies, patient satisfaction with dental care directly depends on a number of factors, including the sanitary and hygienic situation, epidemiological safety, the quality of service and the availability of information materials to help navigate the clinic. Importantly, satisfaction with dental care declines with age, with people younger than 50 showing higher levels of satisfaction than older patients. Another important factor in patient satisfaction is the severity of the disease. The percentage of dissatisfied patients directly correlates with the presence of complicated forms of dental diseases. Conclusion. The study identified patterns regarding how different biomedical factors, such as age and health status, affect perceptions of the quality of dental care. Biomedical risk factors have a direct impact on patient satisfaction with the quality of dental treatment. Comparing the results among different groups, it was possible to identify that older patients have a higher level of expectations regarding the outcome of treatment, while younger patients are more susceptible to the emotional component of a visit to the dentist.
