As knowledge accumulates about the dental status of patients receiving palliative care, their need for dental treatment, as well as awareness of legal representatives and medical personnel caring for this group of patients, the need for dental treatment and preventive measures for patients receiving palliative care increases. The purpose of the study. Analysis of the provision of dental care to the population receiving palliative care in 88 regions of the Russian Federation and Moscow in 2023 and 2024. Materials and methods. The analysis of the accounting documentation of 88 regions of the Russian Federation on the main sections of the dental service for 2023-2024 was carried out. Results. In 2023, 43 regions out of 88 (48.9%) provided dental care to patients receiving palliative care. In 2024, the number of regions providing this type of assistance increased to 48 regions (54.5%). Dental care for patients with palliative status was not provided in 2023 in 24 regions (27.3%) of the Russian Federation, in 2024 in 22 regions (25%). In 2024, dental care was provided to 217 children (from 1 to 17 years old) in Moscow. There was a high need for dental treatment (96.8%), and only 3.2% of the examined children did not need treatment. 74.7% of children needed only the removal of mineralized generalized dental deposits. 22.1% of children needed dental plaque removal and treatment of caries and its complications. Conclusions. To improve the quality of dental care for patients receiving palliative care, it is recommended to develop a regional regulatory framework with the definition of routing schemes, including for the provision of dental care under general anesthesia.
