Предмет. Представлен обзор литературы, посвященный актуальной проблеме стоматологии — острым гнойно-воспалительным заболеваниям челюстно-лицевой области. Гнойные воспалительные заболевания в области челюсти и лица составляют важную группу заболеваний с высокой медико-социальной значимостью, так как большая часть пациентов находятся в трудоспособном возрасте и часто требуют госпитализации. Ранняя диагностика и лечение играют ключевую роль в предотвращении серьезных осложнений, которые могут угрожать жизни. Цель исследования — изучить материалы публикаций, посвященных этологии, патогенезу и распространенности острых гнойно-воспалительных заболеваний челюстно-лицевой области. Методология. Подробно, в свете современных представлений, описаны современные методы лечения пациентов при острых гнойно-воспалительных заболеваниях челюстно-лицевой области. Результаты. Недавний ретроспективный анализ, проведенный в рамках изучения распространенности одонтогенных флегмон среди госпитализируемых пациентов, продемонстрировал, что уровень пациентов с воспалительными заболеваниями в области челюстно-лицевой хирургии остается на стабильном уровне. Это свидетельствует о том, что проблема одонтогенных инфекций не теряет своей актуальности и требует постоянного внимания со стороны медицинского сообщества. Другие исследования также подтверждают это положение, указывая на неизменность показателей гнойно-воспалительных заболеваний в данной области. Например, в некоторых клиниках наблюдается рост числа случаев, связанных с осложнениями после стоматологических процедур, что может быть связано с недостаточной профилактикой и контролем инфекций. Важно отметить, что одонтогенные флегмоны могут возникать не только в результате запущенных стоматологических заболеваний, но и в результате некачественного выполнения медицинских манипуляций. Выводы. Результаты обзора свидетельствуют о том, что стабильный уровень одонтогенных флегмон среди госпитализируемых больных указывает на необходимость дальнейшего изучения и разработки эффективных стратегий для снижения заболеваемости в этой области.

Subject. A review of the literature devoted to the urgent problem of dentistry – acute purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region is presented. Purulent inflammatory diseases in the jaw and face area constitute an important group of diseases with high medical and social significance, since most patients are of working age and often require hospitalization. Early diagnosis and treatment play a key role in preventing serious life-threatening complications. The purpose of the study is to study the materials of publications devoted to the ethology, pathogenesis and prevalence of acute purulent–inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region. Methodology. In detail, in the light of modern concepts, modern methods of treating patients with acute purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region are described. Results. Thus, a recent retrospective analysis conducted as part of the study of the prevalence of odontogenic phlegmon among hospitalized patients demonstrated that the level of patients with inflammatory diseases in the field of maxillofacial surgery remains stable. This indicates that the problem of odontogenic infections does not lose its relevance and requires constant attention from the medical community. Other studies also confirm this trend, pointing to the immutability of indicators of purulent-inflammatory diseases in this area. For example, in some clinics there is an increase in the number of cases associated with complications after dental procedures, which may be due to insufficient prevention and control of infections. It is important to note that odontogenic phlegmons can occur not only as a result of neglected dental diseases, but also as a result of poor-quality medical manipulations. Conclusions. The results of the review indicate that the stable level of odontogenic phlegmon among hospitalized patients indicates the need for further study and development of effective strategies to reduce morbidity in this area.
