Предмет. Проведен обзор литературы, посвященный актуальной теме в профилактике стоматологических заболеваний — изучению современного рынка зубных паст, используемых в качестве основного средства гигиены полости рта. Методология. Изучены данные специальной литературы с использованием научных поисковых библиотечных баз данных: PubMed, Elibrary, Cochrane. Анализ литературы проводился по 55 источникам. Результаты. На современном рынке представлен широкий ассортимент зубных паст, обладающих различными свойствами, которые определяются активными компонентами, входящими в состав. Несмотря на разнообразный ассортимент данного средства гигиены полости рта, официально признанной классификации этой продукции не существует. Зубные пасты, используемые в детском возрасте, должны отвечать следующим требованиям: быть нейтральными, обладать очищающими и полирующими свойствами, иметь приятный запах, вкус и вид, охлаждающий и дезинфицирующий эффекты, быть безвредными и оказывать лечебно-профилактическое действие. В специальной литературе описано множество исследований, посвященных назначению зубных паст при высокой активности кариозного процесса. Современное направление лечебно-профилактических паст — включение в их состав различных ферментов. Данные составляющие способны увеличивать очищающее действие средств гигиены за счет лизиса органического матрикса мягкого и твердого компонентов зубного налета, бактериостатического или опосредованного бактерицидного воздействия на биоценоз ротовой полости, в том числе и на продукты жизнедеятельности микроорганизмов. Выводы. Современный рынок представляет огромный выбор зубных паст с разнообразными активными компонентами, которые будут воздействовать на причины заболеваний полости рта, но до сих пор нет ни одной зубной пасты, которая была бы безопасной при случайном проглатывании и в тоже время при длительном использовании, что является одним из главных решений для разработки программы индивидуальной гигиены полости рта пациентам с отягощенным соматическим статусом, в том числе с психоневрологическими расстройствами. Поэтому вопрос об абсолютной безопасности зубных паст в качестве основного средства индивидуальной гигиены полости рта остается открытым.

Subject. A literature was reviewed on the relevant subject dedicated to the prevention of dental diseases – the study of the modern market of toothpastes used as the basic oral care products. Methodology. The data of special literature were studied using scientific tracking library databases: Pub Med, Elibrary, Cochrane. Literature was analysed using 55 sources. Results. On the modern market, there is a wide range of toothpastes with various properties due to active ingredients they are composed of. Despite the wide and varied range of these oral care products, there is no officially recognized classification of this product. The children's toothpastes should meet the following requirements: be neutral, have cleansing and polishing properties, have a good smell, flavour and appearance, cooling and disinfecting effects, be harmless and have a therapeutic and prophylactic effect. In the special literature, there are many studies on the use of toothpastes in case of high caries severity. The modern direction of therapeutic and prophylactic pastes is the inclusion of various enzymes in their composition. These components are able to increase the cleansing effect of hygiene products due to the lysis of the organic matrix of soft and hard components of plaque, bacteriostatic or indirect bactericidal effects on the biocenosis of the mouth, including the products of microorganisms. Conclusions. On the modern market, there is a huge range of toothpastes with various active ingredients effecting the causes of oral diseases, but there is still no toothpaste which would be safe to accidentally swallow during long-term use, which is one of the main reasons for development of individual oral health programs for patients with aggravated somatic status, as well as for those who have neuropsychiatric disorders. Therefore, the question of the absolutely safe toothpastes as the basic oral care products remains open.
